In our first conversation on July 22nd, we focused on ethical issues related to A.I. training and our views about how A.I. models ought to be built by human designers and users. In our second discussion, we will step back from the technical aspects of AI alignment to explore the broader intersection of AI use and human values.
Through practical, scenario-based discussions, we will examine our roles and responsibilities as users (or non-users) of AI technology. The goal is to examine how AI can either advance or erode human values, and to wrestle with where we believe it contributes to society, and where it may do more harm than good.
